This glass pig sculpture contains sealed SCOBY sculpted to look like intestines. SCOBY is the symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast used in kombucha fermentation. transformed into a surrogate organ. The pig references the development of genetically engineered pigs bred to grow organs for human transplantation.
